Kiwanis 4th Annual Car Seat Safety Check

Kiwanis 4th Annual Car Seat Safety Check At Ira Toyota Danvers

The Danvers Kiwanis club along with our sponsor Ira Toyota, the Danvers Police Department and Safe Kids will hold its 4th annual car seat safety check.
3 out of 4 car seats are NOT properly installed!!
• Is your child in the appropriate seat? Is it properly installed?
• Motor vehicle accidents represent the leading cause of death for children ages 2 to 12 in the United States
The most common mistakes are:
1. Routng seatbelts incorrectly
2. Not puttng seatbelts in lock mode
3. Using both the anchors of the LATCH system
and the seatbelt
Whenever you are on the road, make sure your child passengers are buckled into properly se- cured child safety seats that are appropriate for their size. As children grow, there are four stages of child passenger safety which
require different seats. Always check the safety seat manufac- turers' instructions for the exact height and weight limits of each.
Nationally certi ed technicians will be on-site to inspect and properly install child safety seats.
